Having been a part of a family business for most of my adult life, it was always hard to get away for vacation for anything more than a week at a time. And like most Canadians, living on the eastern part of Canada, Florida became my home away from home. It was close, convenient, and both the beaches and weather, provided a great escape from the cold Canadian winters.

Having visited most of Florida at some time or another, my family and I settled on this beautiful island. Along with lovely beaches, white sand, and a turquoise blue ocean, it is rich in its diverse people and places to see. It is metropolitan, tropical, and serene, all in one continental US location.

Although the state of Florida has many beautiful areas to visit, no place can offer or compare with South Beach, Miami. Only in South Beach, can you attend a pool party by day, swim in gorgeous temperature ocean water in the afternoon, watch the sun set over Fisher Island from South Point Park, and by night take in an outdoor movie in the park, under the stars.

No matter how long your stay you will be sure not to run out of new things to do during your stay on beautiful Miami Beach. The island has a special magical quality about it that leaves those that visit it feeling younger and full of youth. It could be the cumulous clouds, but I think it has more to do with the seventy- something year old lady wearing a wife beater while skateboarding by you. Before you know it you will be wearing beaded bracelets, and you will feel yourself falling under the beaches spell , leaving you full of youth.
